# Privacy policy

How Solcis handles personal data on its website and in sales and marketing.

## Scope

This policy explains how Solcis handles personal data in connection with its website and its sales and marketing activities. It does not cover the Solcis product in use. Solcis is self-hosted: the Software runs in the customer's own environment, and Solcis does not receive, store, or process the runtime data or the personal data handled by a customer's agents. There is therefore no Solcis processing of customer product data to describe here.

## Who we are

Solcis is operated by 6clicks Pty Ltd. For privacy questions, contact <compliance@solcis.ai>.

## What we collect

* Contact and enquiry details you provide, for example when you request a demo, register for an event, or email us.
* Records of our communications and your interactions with our website and campaigns.
* Website analytics and cookie data.

## How we use it

We use this data to respond to enquiries, run events, send communications you have opted into, understand and improve our website and marketing, and meet legal obligations. We rely on your consent, our legitimate interests, and, where relevant, the steps needed to enter into a contract.

## Who we share it with

We use service providers to run our website, customer relationship management, email, and analytics, and they handle this data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell personal data. Because the product processes no customer data, Solcis has no product sub-processors.

## Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

## International transfers

Where data is transferred across borders, we use appropriate safeguards.

## Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to or restrict certain processing. Contact <compliance@solcis.ai>.

## Cookies

Our website uses cookies for essential functionality and analytics. You can control non-essential cookies through the site's controls.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.solcis.ai/legal-centre/privacy-policy.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
